Sleep advice you can check.

The Curious Sleeper answers the questions people ask about sleep, in plain language. Why do I wake at 3am? Is a cold bedroom always better? Does cheese really give you nightmares?

a bed with a wooden headboard and a night stand
A dimly lit bedside lamp illuminates a rumpled white duvet
A bedside lamp illuminates a nightstand next to a bed

Every answer comes first, in the opening lines. The detail and the sources follow for anyone who wants them.

We cover habits and routines, the bedroom and the gear in it, sleeping alongside a partner or kids, the stretches of life when sleep gets harder, and the old wives’ tales and viral trends that spread faster than the research behind them.

When we say what the research shows, we link to it, and when the evidence is thin, we say that too. We’re not doctors, and nothing here is medical advice. If sleep problems are affecting your health, talk to a doctor. When we compare products, we cover what each one does well, what it costs and where it falls short.
